Video: Obermeyer Wood August Virtual Event with the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver
On Thursday, August 13, 2020, we hosted our latest virtual event series gathering with around 100 clients and friends. The event featured happy hour cocktails and a fascinating presentation from Nora Abrams, director of the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver. Nora was appointed the Mark G. Falcone Director in August of 2019. Prior to this role, she was the museum’s chief curator, responsible for its exhibition program and special artists’ projects. MCA Denver explores the art and culture of our time through rotating exhibitions and public educational programs.
Nora shared with us a 40-minute virtual tour of the current exhibition, Nari Ward: We the People, which reflects upon many of the themes being discussed in the public sphere right now. For decades, Ward’s work has highlighted some of the most searing aspects of American culture, including racism and power as well as national identity and immigration. Nora curated a lively presentation that included an interactive Q&A session.
Check out the video below to see a fascinating guided tour of Nari Ward: We The People.
