Obermeyer and Phillips Named Best-In-State by Forbes and SHOOK Research

Forbes and SHOOK Research recently released their annual rankings for Best-In-State Wealth Advisors, compiling a list of 4,000 of the top advisors across the country. For the second year in a row, Obermeyer Wood Investment Counsel is the only firm to feature two advisors ranked in the top 10 in the state of Colorado. This year's rankings feature Wally Obermeyer at No. 2 in the state, followed by Ali Phillips in the No. 8 spot.

The Forbes ranking of Best-In-State Wealth Advisors, developed by SHOOK Research, is based on an algorithm of qualitative criteria, mostly gained through telephone and in-person due diligence interviews, and quantitative data. "Here's what our research has found: the very best advisors are laser-focused on having a positive impact on their clients' lives," said R.J. Shook, president and founder, SHOOK Research, in a recent article published in Forbes. "It is our belief clients are oftentimes better served by local representation . . . Many of the clients we talk to say they consider their advisors and teams like a part of their families, so it's nice to have them close by."
